Chubby Crayons

Room 100
is connecting our Valentine’s Day celebration to a service-learning project.

Since we have lots of crayons, we agreed to pop some in the oven, melt them down, and share brand new heart crayons with little hands.

These recycled crayons will be delivered to Goldenrod Hills Head Start. Fifth grade students learned these extra big crayons are easy for little hands to hold and they don't break when used. Putting crayon to paper also enables young toddlers to develop a range of skills, including hand-eye coordination, verbal reasoning, color recognition, and creativity.

Happy Heart Day!

Thanks, BitsyCreations, for the quote download!
