Week's Activities

Red Ribbon Week is October 26 through October 30.  Red Ribbon Week is a week to raise awareness about the importance of being drug free. In 1988 President Reagan proclaimed the last full week in October as National Red Ribbon Week. It is estimated that more than 80 million participate in Red Ribbon Events every year.
Norfolk Middle School students will participate in activities and projects to support the anti-drug message of our school. 
  • Monday, Oct. 26th - Sock It To Drugs! Wear crazy socks.  
  • Tuesday, Oct. 27th- Team Up Against Drugs. Wear team shirts.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28th- Don't Get Tied Up in Drugs. Wear neck ties, hair ties, tie dye shirts.
  • Thursday, Oct. 29th- Put a lid on Drugs. Wear a hat.
  • Friday, Oct. 30- Be Drug Free! Wear red.
It is a week of fun themes and serious messages.

Red Ribbon Recap

Don't get tied up in drugs!
We had a very successful Red Ribbon Week with participation from so many students and staff!  The highlights were neckties, crazy socks, hats, and flip-flops. It was a silly mix of accessories with an important message to live drug free and healthy.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is October 27 through October 31.  Red Ribbon Week is a week to raise awareness about the importance of being drug free. Norfolk Middle School students will participate in activities and projects to support the anti-drug message of our school. Teachers have linked Red Ribbon Week to the current year's Energy Bus theme, "Stay Positive and Overcome Challenges." 
It is a week of fun themes and serious messages. 
Please mark your calendar and encourage your child to participate.

Red Ribbon Door Week

Red Ribbon Week is the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention program.
Students and teachers decorated their classroom doors this week to support the anti-drug message. 
Students in Room 100 work together to share the message, "Drugs are corny."

Red Ribbon Week


Red Ribbon Week was October 24th through October 29th. Red Ribbon Week is a week to raise awareness about the importance of being drug free.  It is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention program.
Students in Room 102 participated in activities sponsored by the Student Council. These activities and projects supported the anti-drug message of our classroom and school.

Red Ribbon Run


The Red Ribbon Run is an annual run that helps promote the importance of Red Ribbon Week and the communities commitment to keep youth drug free.


Hailie from Room 102 won the women's division of this year's Red Ribbon Run held at Sunset Plaza. Way- to- run- Hailie!
